Paper Shredder
Paper shredder is for safekeeping confidential and sensitive information which is popular among organizations to destroy documents. Along with the paper become small shreds, it will increase the difficulty of restoring the documents. It helps protect organizations from identity theft and compliance with the law that penalize improper disposal of documents with sensitive and confidential content.
Since 2012, the German Institute for Standardisation has designed to replace the previous standard - DIN 32757 with DIN 66399. There are seven levels of DIN 66399:
DIN P-1 : The total particle size is less than 2000 mm² or the wide strips are less than 12 mm
DIN P-2 : The total particle size is less than 800 mm² or the wide strips are less than 6 mm
DIN P-3 : The total particle size is less than 320 mm² or the wide strips are less than 2 mm
DIN P-4 : The total particle size is less than 160 mm² and the wide strips are less than 6 mm
DIN P-5 : The total particle size is less than 30 mm² and the wide strips are less than 2 mm
DIN P-6 : The total particle size is less than 10 mm² and the wide strips are less than 1 mm
DIN P-7 : The total particle size is less than 5 mm² and the wide strips are less than 1 mm
