Time Attendance

How does time attendance system reduce labour expenses?


By applying our time attendance system, it will collect, organize, and analyze data automatically. Every data will be collected right at the verification make. It is easier for HR to access needed information and generate report.




How can I retrieve attendance logs from the device?


There is two type of device.

For standalone device, you can download logs and reports by USB Drive.

For network device, you can download logs and reports from the software or application.

All file will be generated as Excel format and only the authorized user can get the data and information.




Why can't I punch in with my registered finger?


Retry after wetting your finger with a sponge damper pad. If the problem persists, contact your administrator on the device, then delete or re-register into the existing record. In practice, we recommend having two to three fingerprints registered for redundancy.




Why is my device encountering Connection Lost/ Failed registration/ Time synchronization problems/ Device fail to charge/ No sound notifications?


Contact your dealer for maintenance, do not attempt to repair on your own.




Why can't I export data from the device?


For network connected devices, please check the internet connection.

For standalone devices, please check if the file system of USB drive is FAT32.




Can the biometrics images be duplicated?


No. Every biometrics template will be converted into encrypted data by our algorithm. The template obtained from other source will not be recognized as life template is needed for verification.




In case of a power failure, what will happen to the device?


Some of the device is equipped with backup battery to prepare for any power failure case.




Can the data or information be easily deleted by others?


For the device, the setting menu can only access by system administrator.

For the software, it is protected by an admin account and password.

All data or information can only be adjusted or deleted by the system administrator.




Does the system support multiple offices / work locations?


Yes. By using our time attendance system, the software allows adding multiple devices at different locations. The system administrator can manage every data and information from each location through our attendance software.




Does the device support multiple employee shift?


Yes. The admin can create and edit various employee shift by software.

Access Control

What is Access Control and how does it work?


Access control system, also known as door access control, applies to physical security solutions. It is widely used to in different location to permit access to authorized people and deny unauthorized entry.

The hardware (lock, reader, exit button) is installed at the door and wired into a controller. The controller checks permissions or schedules and manages the door hardware (access permit or deny). The administrator of the system can configure system settings, schedules, authorized people, and view information about current and historical system state.




Which type of access control should I use?


There are 3 elements to determine a good access control system: flexible controlling, high security and easy for an authorized user to get access

How can the access control protect my assets?


Access control system protects us by provide a restriction of unauthorized people to access specific areas.

UBM’s access control devices have the smart functions of defending, unlock and threaten alarm. When someone tries to destroy the device, it will send a signal to the controller. The organization can set the method of alert depends on it needs.




How many entrances can I control?


We offer systems to control up to 8 independent entrances. For more entrances, please contact us.




Can my access control device connect with external alarms?


Yes, it can. If you have any special requirements, please feel free to contact us.




How do I choose an access control constructor?


The constructor should accommodate your specific business requirements.

A good constructor will ask questions and help you choose a system that best fits your needs. They are responsible for installing your access control system and provide after-sale service like maintenance and repair.




What happens if a card is lost or stolen?


If a card or fob is lost, stolen or broken, the system administrator can disable the card through the management software. The card cannot be used in the system (unless reactivated) anymore.




What happens if the power goes out?  Am I locked out?


Systems can be equipped with battery backup for the controllers, readers and door locks to maintain functionality during a power outage. Otherwise, doors can still be opened from the inside or by traditional manual keys.
